The Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPS) organized a three-day Workshop on Minutes Writing Skills at the Punjab Assembly Secretariat, from 7th to 9th August 2025. A total of 26 officers participated in the capacity-building programme.
The workshop commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a programme overview by Mr. Shahab, Assistant Director, PDP Wing.

✅ English Skills for Writing Meeting Minutes
— Facilitated by Dr. Atia Anwer Zoon, Assistant Professor.
The session focused on practical techniques for writing accurate and professional minutes, preferred tense usage, and grammatical clarity.
✅ Understanding the Legal Framework and Purpose of Minutes Writing
— Delivered by Mr. Iftikharullah Babar, Former Secretary Senate.
The session highlighted the types of minutes, their role in legislative business, and relevant constitutional rules (Rules 164 & 228).
Participants actively engaged in discussions, shared practical experiences, and completed hands-on exercises to reinforce their learning.
